Новые требования Альянса йоги США
С 1 октября 2016 года Альянс йоги США меняет свои правила регистрации преподавателей йоги. Скорее всего, это каким-то образом связано с изменением законодательства США. Нам представляется, что популярность йоги и её «лечебные свойства» сильно затронули интересы многих отраслей американской медицины. И реакция последовала мгновенно. Теперь Альянс йоги США не имеет право регистрировать специалистов в области йогатерапии, а уже зарегистрированные преподаватели должны для себя решить: либо они убирают информацию о себе по йогатерапии, либо покидают Альянс.

As you know, earlier this year, Yoga Alliance Registry implemented its Policy on the Use of Yoga Therapy terms. This policy clarified the focus of our training Standards. Our Standards have never included instruction on a medical or therapy component. Thus, completion of a Registered Yoga School program does not prepare a graduate to diagnose, treat, or cure health conditions (as the term «therapy» implies). By restricting use of yoga therapy terms on the Registry website and requiring a disclaimer if yoga therapy terms are used by registrants in their external marketing materials, the Policy prevents confusion about the meaning of a Yoga Alliance Registry credential.
In short, no Registered Yoga School, Registered Yoga Teacher, or Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider may rely on or use their RYS, RYT or YACEP designations to hold themselves out as qualified to work as a «yoga therapist» or to train others in «yoga therapy» methods.
We thank the thousands of you that have already made the requested updates. Most registrants who have updated their profile pages and web pages to remove restricted yoga therapy terms agree that they are not teaching yoga to diagnose, treat, or cure health conditions. Rather, their focus is on improving general health and well-being and avoiding injury to those with health conditions.»
Школа инструкторов йоги Федерации йоги России зарегистрирована в Альянсе йоги США, но зарегистрированных в нем российских йогатерапевтов у нас нет. Тем не менее мы информируем всех о новых правилах, действие которых начинаются с 1 октября 2016 года: ни один преподаватель, член Альянса йоги США, не имеет права использовать свою RYT-сертификацию в Альянсе для ведения йогатерапевтической деятельности или обучения других йогатерапии.
